Embattled rally driver and personality Maxine Wahome has been charged with murder. This is after the DPP found that Maxine murdered her late ex-lover and fellow rally driver Assad Khan.
Wahome appeared before Magistrate Bernard Ochoi on Tuesday, where the new development was revealed during the mention of her case.
The DPP has further asked the court to detain Maxine at Kilimani police station awaiting a mental evaluation prior to filing the plea.
Maxine Wahome is believed to have severely stabbed her then boyfriend Assad who later died while being attended to at the hospital.
She was later released on a ksh. 100,000 bail as investigators probed the case. If found guilty of murder, Maxine will most probably receive the capital sentence which includes life in prison or the death penalty.
According to earlier reports from Assad Khan family, their late son introduced Maxine to rally sports and even personally trained her. They requested the law to provide justice for their late son.
