Thursday morning drama occurred at the Allsops bus terminal on Thika Road when an irate passenger and bus conductor got into a fight over Sh10.
Passengers on the bus that travels the route between the CBD and Thika town claim that the conductor increased the fare from the customary Sh80 to Sh150.
The majority of the guests had negative initial impressions of the hike.
“When there is no traffic, we often pay between Sh50 and Sh80 on this journey. The most we ever pay for a fare is Sh100 when things get a little out of hand, according to Peter Okaro, who also added that this conductor intentionally overcharged and that a brawl broke out when he informed the other passenger that he had no Sh10 change.
