Getrude, 20 year old girl from Nandi,lost her life two weeks after she joined university to pursue a degree course in education.
The deceased succumbed to injuries she sustained after being stabbed several times by a man believed to be her boyfriend.
Confirming the incident,area police boss Mr Mutbei noted that the girl was stabbed 20 times by a kitchen knife in the hostels.
” She sustained 20 knife stabs and died due to excessive bleeding ” said the police.
He added that the prime suspect is the boyfriend,who has gone missing and they have started a man Hunt for him to answer murder charges.
Speaking to the media,the mother of Getrude revealed that the suspect who happens to come from the Same Village with her followed her to the university where he committed the crime.
” My daughter’s killer is her village Boyfriend who become insecure after she joined campus and proceeded to kill her” said the mother.
