The Kitutu Chache North parliamentary aspirant asked Omondi to learn from veteran comedians such John Kiarie (KJ) and Walter Mong’are (Nyambane) who he said imitated retired President Daniel arap Moi without offending him.
“This foolish Eric Omondi needs to mature up with his non comical skits on the first family. He’s had dry jokes for many years. He should go back and learn political humour from Nyambane,KJ et al. For instance how do you make jokes on the First Lady praying?” posed Gichana.
However, Omondi’s fans defending him saying there was nothing wrong with his comical skits as there was freedom of expression in the country.
“This is good comedy Eric. You are testing the words of Ruto that freedom of expression will be assured. Thanks for always being the first to test new waters,” said Omwange Kelvin.
“Ruto’s commitment to fostering freedom of expression must be tested with satire, and humor like these. Will he blink?” posted Otieno Otieno.
