The Royal Media Group has come out to apologize to Kenyans after they shared a misleading article on their social media pages during Ruto’s Inauguration ceremony at the Kasarani stadium.
As Uhuru Kenyatta was handing over the instruments of power to William Ruto, his aide-de-camp moved to Ruto’s side as it is required by law.
While reporting on the occasion, Citizen TV which is one of the channels of the Royal Media Group referred to Timothy Stelu Lekolool as Lieutenant Colonel which is not his title. When they found out that they had addressed him with they wrong title they shared another tweet to correct the mistake.
“Change of guard! Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s aide-de-Camp Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Stelu Lekolool switches to President William Ruto’s side after the Instruments of power changed hands.” The first tweet read.
