Shock a school principal is shot dead by thugs while fighting them to save his girlfriend.
The incidents occurred at Winners apartments in Ruiru, Kiambu County.
The principal identified as Geoffrey Sigei and his lover Winfred Kairuthi,34, had visited the apartment in two vehicles at around 4:30am, when they were attacked by armed thugs.
According to the apartment’s attendant Samuel Wafula, Winfred was first got inside the apartment followed by the deceased in a Mazda CX5.
“After the vehicles went next to the main gate, three men thugs accessed the premises and went to Winfred’s vehicle and began searching it,” the watchman told sleuths.
“Before Winfred can park his car, he saw the robbers assaulting Winfred and went to save her wielding a club,” he added.
The armed robbers then sprayed live bullets and shot him on the stomach as they escaped the scene, drawing the attention of cops who were on patrol.
Locals who had got wind of the scuffle rushed to the scene and took Sigei to RFH hospital in Ruiru, where he was declared brought dead.
Sleuths have since revealed that the man and his lover had spent their evening at Ashaki grill in Thome apartment only to be accosted by three men aboard a silver Toyota Prado TX.
