The seemingly humbled COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has come out to weigh in on the defeat they faced as Raila Odinga’s team.
Days after the Supreme Court of Kenya Upheld President-Elect William Ruto’s win.
Atwoli recounted how they went sleeping thinking they had won not knowing that God had his plans.
Adding that, Kenyans should get used to Ruto’s voice instead as their president, adding that they never knew their plans were not God’s plans.
He further heaped praise on Ruto, saying he has political skills and he has outsmarted them in Azimio. He urged his team to accept his victory as they move the country forward peacefully.
“Yetu haikua ile ilikua imepangwa na mungu, nliambia ata watu wazoee sauti ya Raila, sikujua nitarudi hapa niwaambie mzoee sauti ya William Ruto. Mambo ya mungu ni ajabu, mnapanga yenu yeye anapanga yake.Sisi tulienda kulala tukijua tumeshinda kumbe tulifanya siasa ambayo haina ujuzi. Ruto had political skills and smartness, he outsmarted us,” stated Atwoli
