Tanzanian Bongo Star Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa professionally known as Rayvanny has propelled his music career to greater heights after launching his own record label.

The music recording company dubbed “Next Level Music” (NLM) was launched on Tuesday and the Wasafi entertainer announced the good news ahead of the label’s grand opening ceremony on the same day.

“It was all a dream #NextLevelMusic#NLM” the hitmaker captioned a photo of the label’s logo.

The ‘Tetema’ hitmaker in a separate post shared a video snippet flaunting the label’s headquarters strategically situated at a mansion in Mbezi Beach, Dar es Salaam.

Contrary to speculations, the father of one’s new venture has come with blessings from his fellow industry player and boss Diamond Platnumz who once revealed that Next Level Music will be one of the largest state-of-the-art recording studios in the whole of East Africa.

“Studio yake ndio itakua Studio Kubwa zaidi hapa Tanzania …maana nilikuwa na angalia studio yake na siku atakayoiposti, ndio itakuwa studio Number moja hapa Tanzania nzima,” said Diamond.

When asked if Rayvanny will be quitting Wasafi after launching his music empire, Diamond said any artist under the WCB management is at liberty to venture and run his/her own record label.

Rayvanny is the second Wasafi signee after Harmonize to expand his nest by venturing into his own record label. However, he will still be a member of the WCB corporation under Diamond’s management.

“I am opening a label and I will have artists in it, if I wanted to leave, I’d have left by now,” he said in an interview mentioning that will have artists but he will not be among them.

It is understood that Konde Boy alias Harmonize, launched his label ‘Konde Music Worldwide’ and has so far signed four upcoming musicians namely; Ibraah, Country Boy, Killy, and Cheed.

Back in 2015, Rayvanny officially joined the popular WCB Wasafi records where he released his very first project dubbed ‘Kwetu’ in 2016.

Rayvanny is also the first Tanzanian artiste to win a BET award after emerging as the winner of the “THE BET Viewers Choice Best New International Act”.
