Panic in Parliament as Details Emerge of Plot to Impeach a Top Govt Official; I Expected More From You, Class 6 Girl Tells Magoha & Uhuru Allies See Ruto’s Hidden Hand in Perceived Mt Kenya Rebellion

Good morning,

When Education CS George Magoha said children can learn under trees if classrooms are not enough to maintain social distancing, we did not think he was actually being serious.

It was, therefore, an unpleasant surprise seeing photos of classes being conducted outside as students resumed their studies on Monday.

We might not realize how primitive this is, until international media pick up the photos and use them as a demonstration of our backwardness.

Only then will you hear government officials telling those news outlets to leave us alone, while the rest of us do what we do best: Trolling wazungus.

The fact that the government late last year released billions of shillings to cater to the making of social distance-friendly school desks, coupled with the amount of taxes Kenyans pay, is enough to drive one insane.

Where does all this money go? Imagine if the funds were properly utilized, wouldn’t we be playing in the same league as economic giant South Africa?

But this is Kenya.

Same old narrative, just a different year.

Senate deputy speaker Kithure Kindiki became the third casualty.

But the letter has also triggered political suspicion in Raila’s camp that it could be testing ground by some influential individuals to completely abandon the BBI process.

CS George Magoha

A Class 6 student has expressed her regrets and disappointment with Education CS George Magoha after school’s fully reopened

Stella Maris, from Bungoma DEB in Bungoma County, said that she expected more desks and upgraded facilities as the government had made countless promises during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I expected more desks and knew that we would sit one student per desk. I was of the hope that we would also maintain social distance. When the government asked us to go back to school, I was shocked and excited at the same time.
