Beauty Queen at Centre of Mysterious Deaths of Toddlers; Raila Makes U-turn on BBI Amendments & Intensify Prosecution Of High Profile Cases, Uhuru Encourages DPP

Good morning,

Do you know about Joe Biden’s sad life story?

He may seem like a person who has all that life has to offer, after all, he just became the most powerful man in the world, but he has had his own dark times.

In 1972, Biden’s first wife, Neilia, and their infant daughter, Naomi died in a car crash. Their two sons, Beau and Hunter survived the crash.

You would think the two boys surviving the crash was a silver lining, but life had other plans for Biden’s family.

In 2015, Biden lost one of his sons with Neilia, Beau, to Brain cancer.

Our point is, everyone, even those who seem to have it all figured out, has their own share of problems. We may not be able to solve these problems for them, so, the least we can do is show kindness.

This does not require much effort-a small smile or a simple hi could be enough to brighten someone else’s day, so, today, smile to at least one stranger.

Just a small smile though, you do not want to come off as creepy!

Meanwhile, here are the stories making headlines on Opera News today:

President Uhuru with DPP Hajji

President Uhuru Kenyatta has encouraged the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) to focus more on the successful prosecution of high profile cases especially those involving misuse of public resources.

The President said it is only through the successful prosecution of such cases that the agency will win and retain the confidence of Kenyans.

“Confidence is a fleeting thing. If people don’t see results, that confidence can also evaporate. It is therefore important that results are also shown so as to justify the investments we are putting in,” he said.
