Good morning Kenyans.

We are almost at the end of the second week of the month of June that has been comprised of drama, despair and surprises.

The political heat in the country keeps going up despite facing the Coronavirus pandemic.

Public Service CS Margaret Kobia found herself on the wrong side of Kenyans after she claimed that Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguri was impeached because of her gender.

Many Kenyans and some politicians condemned her sentiments and complained that she had exhibited a double standard behaviour.

Kobia’s Sentiments sparked Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika to life where she sarcastically made a claim that caught everyone by surprise.

Kihikia jokingly responded to Kobia by asking if she and Runyenjes MP Cecily Mbarire had to send naked pictures to the CS in order to gain her support.

Kobia was criticised for being unfair for not having stood up for the Nakuru female leader and her counterpart when they were shown the exit door.

This brings up the question of will this be the trend of some female leaders when in trouble to always use the gender card?

Deputy President William Ruto was dealt a massive blow this week when another ally seemed to have switched sides.

Laikipia MP Catherine Waruguru met with ODM leader Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill offices.

According to Waruguru, the agenda of their meeting was based on National Unity.

The female leader’s view that in politics there were no permanent friends or enemies insinuated that allegiance had probably shifted.

This left one wondering, is this the beginning of the end for the Tanga Tanga camp?
