The Kenyan online community has erupted with rage following the emergence of disturbing images of a young Nairobi man mercilessly beaten up by rogue police officers.

Samuel Maina from Kahawa West Estate revealed that he was assaulted and robbed by two police officers on Saturday evening as he trekked home from work.

Their lame excuse for assaulting him, he says, was that the fact that he was out walking out past curfew hours.

The incident took place a few minutes past 7 p.m, just moments after the usual daily rush to get home

On that fateful evening, Maina had delayed to close down his small Kinyozi business as he hurriedly worked on finishing up on a client who registered in late.

Once they were done beating him up, the Administration Police officers from the Kahawa West Chief’s Camp then ransacked a helpless Maina and took away all his possessions including his mobile phone then left him for dead.

From his bloody and heavily bruised face, one could easily think he had been mauled by some dangerous wild animal.

Maina, however,  struggled to find his way went to Kahawa West police post to report but he was unfortunately rudely sent away making sure no record of the incident noted down on the Occurrence Book.

His numerous desperate appeals that he, at least, be taken to a health facility fell on deaf ears as the officers from the station dismissed him as a “mad man”.

Luckily, his friends got word of the attack and took him to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where doctors found his nasal bone was broken.

Samuel can identify the police who assaulted, robbed, and left him unconscious.
