Spanish giants Real Madrid have made an official inquiry on the availability of Arsenal star-man and skipper Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international enters the final year of his contact this summer and Arsenal could lose him for free next year.
Real Madrid is searching for a seasoned goalscorer especially after the man they got to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard flopped in his first season at the Bernabeu.
Aubameyang is a Real Madrid fan and has never hidden the fact that he would one day like to play for the Los Blancos. Arsenal could be tempted to sell their top scorer this season who also won the English Premier League Golden Boot last season. He is also attracting interest from fellow Spanish side Barcelona who are out to replace Luis Suarez.
Arsenal could do with some cash after the club recorded a loss of 27 Million pounds in the past financial year. The Gunners will want to avoid repeating the same mistake they made last season where they let midfielder Aaron Ramsey join Juventus on a free transfer after running down his contract.
It is understood that should the Gabon star join Real Madrid, Arsenal will push for a swap deal with striker Luka Jovic who has not had the best of first seasons at the Spanish club since he made the move from Frankfurt last summer.
He has scored just two goals and one assist for Zidanes side this campaign.
