Last week, Kenya received $50 million from the World Bank Group Board of Directors in immediate funding to support Kenya’s response to the global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic as other donations keep on flowing.
Earlier today, explosive investigative journalist and Nyali Member of Parliament (MP), Mohammed Ali went on to reveal how some powerful government individuals are trying to use this deadly pandemic to steal funds meant for fighting the spread and impact of the virus.
The vocal MP was responding to reports that 17 MPs had tested positive. He alleged that the news is a “hoax” designed to stop MPs from attending parliament to perform their key duties.
According to Mohammed Ali, this implies that a few people in power will have a free hand in siphoning funds meant for fighting COVID-19.
Someone wants to continue bypassing the constitution to siphon funds meant for CORONA. This is possible if parliament is not sitting so that they take over roles of parliament and run everything through decree.
PLAN A- Leak fake info of 17MP’s testing positive
PLAN B- Have a reason not to allow parliament to resume.
PLAN C- Steal everything and let the poor die
In a joint press statement issued on Monday evening, National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi and his Senate counterpart Ken Lusaka said parliament sittings will remain suspended until further notice following the cessation of movement in and out of the Nairobi Metropolitan area to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
Kenya has so confirmed 172 COVID-19 cases by Tuesday with six deaths.
Mohammed Ali’s sentiments reveals a new level of moral rot and corruption.
Surprised? Of course, you aren’t!
