Today marks the one-year memorial of the Dusit D2 terrorist attack; a 19-hour siege that left 21 dead in Nairobi.
In remembrance of this day, Kenyans have expressed grief over the loss of their loved ones and others have reached out with messages of consolation.
This is one of the attacks that hit the nation hard. Some of the victims and the affected are bigwigs in the entertainment industry and other prominent leaders.
One of the personalities who lost his life on this day is a popular sports journalist, Odu Cobra.
Bro @Oducobra A time like this last year you were throwing banter and enjoying an afternoon, then the bullet of a terrorist struck. Rest easy top midfielder. So long but so soon. In our hearts forever!

Mercy was expected to be at Dusit Complex by 3:30 for a salon appointment but she delayed because Jalango had blocked her car.
The attack at Dusit complex was reported at around 3:15pm on that day and the singer was lucky to have been late for her appointment.
According to some tabloids, the comedian missed a bullet on this day.
“I was to be the third person to be shot, I don’t know how I escaped the bullet. It is just God. I just started hearing gunshots, and then started seeing people running away raising their hands up and some were entering the bank to hide for their lives.” said Eric.
Other reports, however, claim that the funny man denied being in the city during the attack.
