Former Manchester United goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel has hailed winger Daniel James for his exemplary performances since he joined the club in the summer from Swansea City FC.
The Welshman has been in an electrifying form for the club this campaign and has scored three league goals so far. He also has a number of assists to his name.
He was once again in devastating forms against Manchester City on Saturday night as United stunned the Citizens to win 2-1 and break into the top five positions. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial scored the goals for the visitors while Nicolas Otamendi grabbed the consolation for the hosts.
Wan Bissaka, Rashford and Scott McTominay are among players who were praised for excellent show against City but the Danish legend believes James was equally impressive stating that he has an excellent work-rate through the match.
“Someone who is not going to grab the headlines is Daniel James. Today he was unbelievable, chasing every ball, he was in every counter-attack and, at the same time, he was doubling up with [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka on the right-hand side,” he said.
He went on to term the youngster as an excellent acquisition having been in good form since the start of the season.
“Ryan [Giggs] must be so happy to see one of his players perform so well. He’s played every single game this season and he’s still playing well. That’s a fantastic signing and he played fantastic today,” he added.
