Status quo remain at SportPesa as the betting firm issues more inflicting letters to their employees.
In a closed door meeting conducted on Friday morning, the firm gave out redundancy letters to their over 400 staff members following their exit from Kenyan business last month.
The redundancy documents is in line with the Kenyan law which follows termination letters issued to the employees on October 2.
One of the employees has confirmed to Opera News the reception of document stating that they will be paid two months salaries and 15 days’ pay every year according to the law.
The letter comes with a one-month notice.
Prior to their exit from Kenya, SportPesa had become the most trusted betting firm and offered financial support to sports fraternity across board. They were the sponsors of Kenyan Premier League, top football clubs Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards
