Ngilu Tears Duale Apart Over Corruption Remarks

On Friday, Kitui Governor, Charity Ngilu, in a witty way tore down Majority leader in the National Assembly, Aden Duale over corruption remarks.

In a statement which seemed to be directed to Deputy President, William Ruto, She urged him to maintain tight control over Duale further accusing the DP of being a high priest of corruption.

“When a dog barks carelessly you don’t question the dog, you find the owner. Mr. #GoliathOfCorruption, please put a leash on your dog. Let it bark at you because you are the high priest of corruption,” a statement on her official twitter account read.

Ngilu also told Duale not threaten her for she could also bring him down if she wanted, “don’t throw stones when you live in a glass house.”

Ngilu found herself in trouble following the emergence of an audio clip in which she appeared to be inciting residents of Kitui against Somali herders in her county.

In the clip from 2018, which went viral on social media, Ngilu was heard telling Mutha residents in Kitui county that she would fund, train and arm Kamba men to face Somali herders who she accused of encroaching on Ukambani farms.

MPs from Northern Kenya wanted Kitui Governor arrested for alleged incitement.

Addressing the media in Parliament on Wednesday, the MPs called on the security agencies to immediately arrest the governor. They warned that failure to do so could compromise security.

The outspoken MP, Duale, went up a notch higher demanding for a written apology from her in not less than 48 hours.

This could have sparked the response from Ngilu.

Ngilu is a member of Team Embrace a group allied to president Uhuru which could explain why she also took a scathing attack against Ruto.
