Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that six of his players will miss the Monday game against Arsenal while midfielder Paul Pogba is also a doubt for the mouth-watering clash.
Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial have been out of action for close to a month and will sit out of the match against Arsenal. Marcus Rashford got injured against West Ham a week ago and is out of the duel. Youngsters Diogo Dalot, Angel Gomez who missed the match against Rochdale on Wednesday are also out and completing the list is Phil Jones who was taken off at halftime during the Carabao Cup clash.
Speaking ahead of the match against the Gunners, Solskjaer confirmed that the five are out of the game. He also revealed that Paul Pogba is a doubt for the game as he has a swollen ankle which was aggravated during the match against Rochdale which was his first since returning from an injury that had seen him sidelined before the international break.
“There might be one or two who have not really come back. Paul was really struggling with his ankle as it was really swollen, so let’s see how that repairs. He got 90 minutes but was sore towards the end again,” he said
” Phil will be out until after the international break and, do you know, you have to count these after every game but I think that’s it. I don’t think we’ll see Anthony before the international break. No, I don’t think so. Luke is improving so, hopefully, we’ll see him soon. Gomez and Dalot are out,” he said.
