Millions Lost as Fire Razes Down Kiserian Secondary School Dormitory

Property worth millions of shillings have been destroyed after a fire razed down one of the dormitories in Kiserian Secondary school in Kajiado county.

The fire is said to have started at around mid-morning when the students were in their classrooms.

The burned down dormitory at Kiserian Secondary School.

The fire, however, has been contained by the firefighters together with major m water services and area residents.

There are no injuries reported from the scene as the school continues counting losses which are estimated to be worth millions of shillings.

The cause of the fire is not yet clear and police officers have already commenced investigations.

The school board and other stakeholders are currently held up in a meeting.

Kiserian fire comes in the wake of another similar incident in Nairobi where seven pupils lost their lives after a classroom collapsed on them at Precious Talent School along Ngong Road on Monday morning.
