Kiambu County Executive Committee (CEC) in charge of Roads, Transport and Public Works on Thursday hinted via his Twitter handle that his embattled Boss Governor Ferdinard Waituti will soon start prayers rallies across the county to end his problems with the law.
The CEC stated that he believes the prayer rallies freed President Uhuru Ruto and DP William Ruto from the International Criminal Court (ICC) and are the perfect solutions to the recent corruption and tax evasion charges facing Waititu.
Governor Waititu is facing charges over illegal award of county tenders worth Sh588 million and failure to remit taxes to the Kenya Revenue Authority.
#Testimony! I believe #UhuRuto were vindicated by ICC because of many Prayer Rallies they held in the Country. Borrowing from them, BabaYao Prayer Rallies to start soon across the County. May Justice be done. #KiambuAwakens #KiambuTheGreat pic.twitter.com/vki42tuAa8

He is also among the eight governor that are on the radar of the tax collector for failure to remit billions of shilling deducted from workers’ salaries.
KRA accuses him for failing to remit Ksh3.2 billion the county had been deducting taxes from their workforce.
KRA is also taking a closer look at the governor’s tax records. On Thursday, the embattled Governor was summoned by the KRA over an ongoing probe on his Saika Two Estate Two Estate Developers Ltd tax status.
Furthermore, the governor is engaged in a fierce battle with his deputy James Nyoro over the control on the county.
In late July Nyoro announced that he is in charge of the county after the Milimani High Court Judge Lawrence Mugambi barred Waititu from accessing the County’s offices until the Ksh 588 million tender corruption case is heard and determined.
